Getting to Better Know Our Super Summer Intern & Future Dental Student, Jake

JAKE IS THE GRANDSON of Dr. Gary Igleburger, who is the originating doctor of the practice. Dr. Igleburger and Dr. Mori practiced together for 8 yrs as IM Orthodontics until Dr. Igleburger retired in 2006 and Dr. Mori transitioned to what is now known as Mori Orthodontics. We are so excited to have Dr. Igleburger’s grandson here to help us this summer!

So, We Asked Jake A Few Fun Questions

So, we asked Jake a few questions to help you get to know him a little better. Those questions are found below—along with his answers. We hope you enjoy them!

Where are you originally from?

“I am originally from Dayton, Ohio but I lived in Sarasota, Florida for 9 years before returning in 2011”

What made you decide to become an orthodontist someday?

“I want to become an orthodontist because I want to change people’s lives by improving their self image through their smiles. My grandfather always talked about how rewarding it was to help people feel good about themselves and that really stuck with me. I think orthodontics is an interesting, challenging, and worthwhile occupation and I would love to be a part of the positive change orthodontists bring to peoples lives.”

What do you enjoy most about being at Mori Ortho?

“What I most enjoy about Mori orthodontics is all of the fun we have at the office. Whether it be at lunch or during the work day everyone has a great attitude that is unparalleled to any other job I’ve had.”

Do you have an unusual or interesting hobby?

“I love to cook, especially for my family. Most twenty year old boys aren’t interested in cooking so I would call it an unusual hobby. I like experimenting with new foods and I will try anything at least once.”

What are you most looking forward to at your time at Mori Ortho this summer?

“I’m most looking forward to learning more about the field of orthodontics this summer. Although I have been around orthodontics for a long time via my grandfather there is a lot more to learn! I love getting the hands on experience working in the lab and with patients. It’s very rewarding! ”

We hope this has helped you get to know Jake a little better. We feel privileged to have him as an awesome team member here in our practice.
